Forks Film Festival Summer Programs

Join Forks Film Festival for a summer of creativity, storytelling, and filmmaking! In partnership with the Christina Lake Arts Collective and the Grand Forks Art Gallery, these hands-on workshops give participants the opportunity to learn filmmaking skills, explore their creativity, and bring stories from page to screen.

Introduction to Filmmaking for Teens

In partnership with the Grand Forks Art Gallery, this interactive workshop gives teens the opportunity to explore filmmaking through hands-on learning. Experiment with cameras, lighting, and sound while discovering the creative and technical skills that bring stories to life on screen.

Introduction to Filmmaking for Adults

In partnership with the Grand Forks Art Gallery, this hands-on workshop introduces participants to the world of filmmaking. Explore professional filmmaking equipment, discover the many roles involved in film production, and work together to build and shoot a scene.

Youth filmmakers will explore a variety of filmmaking roles, use professional equipment, and work together to create an original short film from scratch. Their completed film will premiere at the Historic GEM Theatre as part of the inaugural Forks Film Festival this fall.
